| Referrals
for physiotherapy Usually, no referral is necessary. Under the Veterans’ Affairs or Medicare Plus schemes a referral letter from a GP is required. Referrals by physiotherapists Physiotherapists at our clinic are authorised to refer clients for X-rays. Certificates Sick Leave Physiotherapists are legally authorised to issue sick leave certificates when the client is unfit for work due to an injury or condition for which they have consulted the physiotherapist. Incapacity For Worksafe clients, physiotherapists can only provide subsequent certificates of incapacity after the initial certificate has been completed by a GP. Attendance Physiotherapists can supply attendance certificates to certify that a client has attended an appointment. Fees Payment is expected on the day of consultation. EFTPOS and credit card facilities are available. Private health care rebate is available for clients with relevant extras cover with our Hicaps facility on the day of consultation. Concessional rates are available for Health Care card holders. Please note: Cancellations We request 24 hours notice for cancellation of appointments. This allows time for our office staff to reschedule “wait-listed” clients and makes best use of our physiotherapists’ time. If less than 24 hours notice is given, Albert Park Physiotherapy reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee.  |
